The Precious Things: Vintage Jewellery Pt III

More pretty jewellery.

Pt I - here
Pt II  - here

Recently acquired set.
I have since worn the earrings and unlike some clip ons, they are so comfortable! In fact it doesn't feel like some hulking monster is squeezing my earlobes at all, which is always a good thing in my book.

Beautiful £3 clip ons.
Now these do feel as though a monster has me by the earlobes!

Austrian glass strawberry brooch - gift

Sweetheart brooch - nan me down

Vintage watches - nan me downs.
Sadly, neither work, likely they were overwound.
I do like a dainty ladies watch and my everyday watch is very dainty.

Pretty 1950's brooch.
I had one of these to play with as a child but it went missing. I found the same one in an antique shop for £5. Wouldn't it be peculiar if it was actually the exact same one.

£1.50 screw back earrings.
I have since found out these have a matching necklace, how sad that they became parted.

I assume 1960's beads.
Once belonged to Andy's Aunt Dorothy.
She always wore plastic beads, we called them her Cracker Beads.

Faux pearl and turquoise brooch.
The following four brooches also belonged to Andy's Aunt Dorothy.

Cuckoo Clock brooch.
Unfortunately one of the chains is missing, but that should be easy enough to remedy.

Beautiful brooch and glass bead necklace.
Valentine gifts from Andy.

  2. Oh, it's so hard to choose a favourite! I love the strawberry brooch and that pretty crinolined lady with the parasol. I think the faux pearl and turquoise brooch is the one you were referring to in your comment to one of my posts, as indeed it looks like one of mine, which is gold and white! I love the green stoned ones too (I have a weakness for green) and of course the cuckoo clock is to die for! xxx

  4. *Squeal!!!* So magnificent! I'm wild for the Austrian strawberry brooch (I collect Austrian fruit jewelry) and the cuckoo clock brooch in particular. Everything is just fabulous though, sweet dear. Your jewelry collection is breathtaking!

    Big hugs,
    ♥ Jessica

  5. Aunt Dorothy had great taste! I bet she'd be chuffed to know you still had her 'cracker beads'.

Like Jessica, I love the Austrian Strawberry brooch.
